Spring Makeup

When it comes to makeup, starting with a flawless and glowy base is one of my favorite looks. When your skin looks dewy and fresh, it can pull off any look. With spring just around the corner, fresh peach cheeks, lit-from-within skin, and makeup that brings out your eyes is a great way to get a wearable but glam. 100% Pure offers such great cruelty-free and vegan options, that you can get an entire look with just a handful of products.

Start with skin care.
Half of what goes into creating pretty and glowing skin isn’t the makeup that you wear, but how you prep your skin first. If you deal with creasing and flaking makeup during the day, adding more moisture to your skincare routine is key to helping your makeup look fresh throughout the day. After cleansing your face, apply a good moisturizer like the Red Wine Resveratrol Nourishing Cream. The Coffee Bean Eye Cream is great for diminishing and preventing dark circles, and is essential at night and in the morning. If your eye area needs some extra nourishment, a set of the Bright Eyes Masks can do a lot to hydrate, de-puff, and brighten your under eye area.

Prep your base.
Starting with a good primer can help your foundation apply evenly and last longer throughout the day. The Luminous Primer is great for those like myself who have skin on the dry side. It absorbs quickly and gives my skin an extra boost that lasts all day.

The Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation is great for medium to full coverage looks. I love that this foundation is buildable and is also good for my skin! It goes on great with a brush or the 100% Pure Makeup Sponge.

I love using the 2nd Skin Concealer under eyes because of its serum-like consistency. It never creases and not only conceals darkness, but also cancels it out. It’s also great to use as a cream highlight and contour for when I want to really turn things up a notch with my makeup.

Set it in place.
Using the Bamboo Blur Powder to set my makeup also helps lock-in the flawless and smooth appearance of the Fruit Pigmented Healthy Foundation. It really does help to blur out any imperfections in my skin! It also wears wonderfully throughout the day without getting patchy or cakey.

Bring out your natural features.
Using the Fruit Pigmented Powder Foundation as a bronzer, I was able to create a subtle contour to help my features stand out. While I do love the 100% Pure Bronzer, using the Fruit Pigmented Powder Foundation in one shade darker than my foundation is an easy way to warm up my skin just a little bit.

I love the blushes from 100% Pure because they help create such a natural flush. For this look, I used the Fruit Pigmented Blush in Peach. This is such a pretty and perfectly on-trend shade for spring. It really helps all my features stand out.

The brand new Gemmed Luminizer in Moonstone is so pretty! I used it to add a glow to my cheekbones, cupids bow, and the tip of my nose. This luminizer is such a smooth consistency and it adds such a pretty glow to the skin. I also love that it uses real gemstones to help achieve the shimmer!

Make the eyes pop.
The Pretty Naked 2 palette is essential for creating smokey looks that are perfect for nighttime. The shadows are all very pigmented and long-lasting. I applied the lightest shade all over my lids, then added the medium brown to my outer corners and blended it into my crease. I love using the darkest shadow shade, as a liner. It’s a deep plum that will make any eye color really stand out.

I love using the Creamy Long Last Liner in Blackest on my lash line and waterline. Not only does it apply super smoothly, but it’s the only liner I’ve found that actually stays in my waterline all day long. Because I used a shadow as my liner, adding this black liner to my waterline and lashline can help my lashes look fuller and more voluminous before I even reach for mascara. Speaking of mascara, adding several coats of the Maracuja Mascara in Black Tea is the final touch for my eyes.

Go for a nude lip.
I love a good peachy-nude lipstick. The Lip Caramel in Rum Nougat is the perfect shade because it’s so universally flattering. I love that it adds just the perfect amount of color to my lips while also keeping them hydrated and feeling soft and smooth.

This is one of my favorite looks for when I just want to feel pretty. It helps my favorite features stand out while taking care of my skin at the same time. You really can’t ask for much more than that, right?
